Nonprofit Leaders: What would you spend to raise $1M more?

Image of a nonprofit leader in an office writing in a notebook and deciding to spend money to invest in new skills that will in turn help the nonprofit raise more money.

Want to raise to your REAL budget? Add $1M to your nonprofit’s bottom line?

But, you've have struggled to do in the past? And now, inflation makes it harder?

Let me ask you this? How much would you pay to learn how to do that from someone who does this on a regular basis with success?

For me? When I contemplate investing in my biz own coaches, I like to look at this investment in the percentage of ROI….

To earn/raise $1M more…

❓would I spend $200,000 (or 20%) to learn to raise $1,000,000 more?

❓would I spend $100,000 (or 10%) to learn to raise $1,000,000 more?

❓$50,000 (or 5%) to learn to raise $1,000,000 more?

The answer to all of these is yes.

You see, I talk to people weekly who want to add 7-figures to their nonprofit’s budget, but few want to get out of their comfort zone and invest in doing it once and for all. They think there must be just one tweak they'll eventually figure out.

This is a main reason 97% have budgets under $5M in the US.

Leader - You must do something different to get different results. Be honest about the resources your org needs to accomplish your plans, get counsel from those who do this every day, and then spend the money that puts you on a different revenue trajectory.

Trying to squeeze more money out of traditional fundraising activites is killing our sector.

Stop hesitating and start investing. The money is ALWAYS there. You likely have a skillset issue and your team needs training. This is exactly what happened in this scenario…

This email I got yesterday…three weeks into my client's fiscal year? She decided to do something new one year ago. And is 2 - 3Xing donations left and right. She invested in learning new skills and has already raised an additional $1,000,000+ as a result of our work together. Now, she's secured 3 of her top 10 gifts in the first 3 weeks of her fiscal year….
