A marketer at heart - Lauren's got a big audacious goal of growing her fairly new start-up into a $50M powerhouse organization to change the trajectory of human health through fruit and vegetable consumption.

After you listen to this episode you'll understand how she, her board, and team are well on their way to that big $50M goal. Listen to Lauren describe her journey into fundraising and how she's securing 5-, 6-, and 7-figure gifts...

We talked about it all…

🎙️The mindset you need so that you don't sound desperate with donors.

🎙️How fundraising (sales) is simply about problem-solving.

🎙Why a Case for Support has been so powerful in aligning the whole organization.

🎙️How slowing down in fundraising is paying off in big ways now.

Honestly, Lauren is one of the inspirations for my new Tortoise vs. Hare Fundraising Guide. Typically one of the hardest pieces of advice for fundraisers to take from me is that they need to slow down to go further faster. But, not Lauren.

Afterall, you won’t secure a donor’s best gift if you rush. And it take time to make sure the relationship will be a win/win.

If it takes 12 months . . . 18 months . . . to secure their best gift as opposed to the ‘throw-away’ gift, wouldn’t it be worth it?

Yes is the answer!

Your take away?

My most successful clients take their time in major and mid-level gift work. They balance their pipeline, exceed goals, and scale by millions embracing the tortoise approach to fundraising.
