Nonprofit Leaders: Clarity doesn’t come BEFORE action. It comes FROM action.

One entrepreneur I love to follow is Sara Blakely, Founder and CEO of Spanx. She's both fun and smart. Obviously, super successful. She posted something the other day that resonated with me:

Clarity doesn’t come BEFORE action. It comes FROM action.

It was actually the quote on the coffee mug she was drinking from.

This attitude and belief of ACTION has been a huge part of my own business's growth.

I try to model it for nonprofit organizations as well. Why?

I see too many nonprofits NOT taking action because they want to know exactly how it’s going to turn out.

If we hire that person, will they raise more money?

If we budget to our true need, will we be able to raise it?

If we invest in a consultant, will we get results?

My client said it best the other day…

“The more we work together, the more opportunities for money I see.”

Right. She has clarity from her actions.

How about you? Where can you take a step today toward action? Clarity is close behind.
